I'm a contemporary artist from Northern Ireland who paints places and memories from home.
I work on burlap (hessian/flax) because of its connection of the nature and old stored things.

My early sketches aren’t about getting everything right, they’re about figuring out what I’m actually trying to say.

Growing up, we were never far from forest trails or streams. My sister and I would spend many summers walking through a nearby forest, which was blanketed with bluebells. Many of these memories have found their way into my work.

In late May, we had one decent week of sun here, so I decided to get my sketchbook out and capture the garden before the rain came.
