Fiona is a Northern Irish contemporary artist, who works with paint, ink, oil pastel and burlap, her
work explores the relationship between place and the natural world.

Growing up, we were never far from forest trails or streams. My sister and I would spend many summers walking through a nearby forest, which was blanketed with bluebells. Many of these memories have found their way into my work.

In late May, we had one decent week of sun here, so I decided to get my sketchbook out and capture the garden before the rain came.
