How nature influences my work

Here, the landscape is never really still. Even with never-ending rain, there is a lot to be inspired by. I love the mist on the mountains or the colour of barley in the fields. Nature has a way of being both beautiful and ordinary at the same time.

Growing up, we were never far from forest trails or streams. My sister and I would spend many summers walking through a nearby forest, which was blanketed by bluebells. Many of these memories have found their way into my work.
The countryside around me provides an endless source of inspiration.
I only have to pay attention.

"...(The) Northern Ireland shoot was the happiest I’ve ever been making a film. Pure happiness. All you have to do is turn the camera on and the sky does all the work for you.”
