Summer of sketching

In late May, we had one decent week of sun here, so I decided to get my sketchbook out and capture the garden before the rain came. I kept the style pretty loose and finished each page without coming back to it to 'fix' it. I'm pretty pleased with the results.

The sketches were created using Cass Art markers on 100gsm paper.

Initially, I wasn't keen on this one, but it's become my favourite.

I was gifted these by and friend and was really impressed by the pay off. The ink is translucent and dries quickly, so you have to work quite fast. Loved the blending and layering of these bad boys. Would defintely recommend.
